I’m not Willy Wonka and Orchards Estates isn’t a chocolate factory

Last year marked what would have been the 100th birthday of the World’s No 1 storyteller – Roald Dahl.

The man was a genius, with an imagination wilder than an over enthusiastic estate agent’s description of a pokey studio flat overlooking a busy motorway.

One of Dahl’s greatest creations was Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. A place where everything was sugar coated.

At Orchards Estates we’re not ones for sugar coating things and we take pride in being honest.

That approach applies to the valuations we provide.

Some agents will vastly exaggerate a property’s value to lure homeowners into instructing them.

This over valuing very rarely leads to a happy ending.

And it can mean a property gets stuck on the market as its valuation is way off the mark.

Fairytale valuations ultimately cost the seller time, money and can cause a lot of stress.

It doesn’t have to be that way – with honest and expert valuations you won’t need to worry about any Tales of the Unexpected (also written by Mr Dahl but with a lot less chocolate).
