Orchards Heads West - New office covering Exmoor and West Somerset

Orchards Estates, South Somerset’s forward-thinking 24/7 estate agency is thrilled to have extended its services to cover the west of the county, from Taunton and Bridgwater to Williton and Minehead.

The highly successful independent estate agency was established in early 2014 serving Yeovil, Martock, South Petherton, Crewkerne, Ilchester, Chard, Ilminster and the surrounding villages, and within six months it out-ranked its competitors in terms of both the number of properties it takes to the market and more importantly, the speed in which it sells them.

Now, Orchards has extended its service to cover the whole of West Somerset, from Taunton to Minehead, with the appointment of licensed agent, Jeremy Darvill.

Jeremy has more than 20 years’ experience in the property industry. He was a member of the ISVA (Independent Surveyors and Valuers Association), which then merged with the RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors), and worked as a property manager for one of the leading London estate agencies before moving to the Westcountry to handle the sale of urban, rural and coastal properties, farms and estates from Bristol to Bournemouth for a long established six-branch agency.

Jeremy said: “The face of estate agency has and is changing dramatically, what with the popularity of the internet and the increasing use of portable devices to search for property. We operate half way between the traditional high street and the purely online call centre agencies, whereby we have the South Somerset office and a team devoted to administration and sales progression, and I have joined Orchards as a licensed agent for the West Somerset region, dedicated to conducting valuations and viewings, sales negotiation and liaison with clients in in the area. Our hybrid approach allows us to ensure a high level of contact and service from local advisers, finding the right buyers for the right properties and being available to help clients when they need it. After all, research shows the Internet’s busiest time for property searches is between 7pm and 9pm, so we’d be crazy not to be available at that time.”
