Bakery Roy-Al

Food & Drink

Daily fresh bread, pastries and cakes.

"Bakery Roy-Al was established in 1995

The business was originally run by two partners - Roy and Al, hence the name Bakery Roy-Al.

When Al left in 1996, Roy took over the business and has run it ever since. During this time, the Bakery has grown from one shop in Martock to three, with other shops opening in Ilminster and South Petherton. Roy is a fourth generation baker whose father and grandfather ran a bakery business in Kingsbury Episcopi; his great grandfather had a bakery in Long Load.

We supply local small shops, pubs, cafes and local National Trust Properties.

We always source our ingredients locally where possible.

All of our flour is from an independent family miller. Most of our ingredients come from a local baker's buying cooperative, of which Roy is a Director.

Roy has won many prizes in the Western Bakery Championships including "Best Loaf in Show' in 2015/16.

Any money donated to us by customers goes into our Charity Box which is then given to Lufton College. We have previously donated to Fiveways School in Yeovil and raised enough money for them to have a new cooker in their Kitchen which they use for Cooking Classes. "
